We at simRACE247 welcome Elliot Simpson to the team. Bringing a combination of youth and experience to the team, Elliot will be joining us as a ‘Silver’ driver. Having competed in a host of karting events from a young age, the Briton is equipped with the race craft and knowledge needed to help establish the simRACE247 brand as we get ready to set foot on the (virtual) track.
We spoke with Elliot about his background and his ambitions for both the team and his career in the sim as we gear up for the new chapter ahead of us. Here’s what he had to say:
Occupation: Art Student
Other Sports: Gliding, Cycling.
Other Hobbies: Flying model aeroplanes (remote control), playing the drums, building model tanks and gaming.

Briefly describe your Sim Racing rig: Simply put, a G29 steering Wheel and pedals attached to my desk.
What is your career target in Sim Racing? To participate as a representative of a friendly and successful team in endurance and championship races.
What do you expect from the team? To be involved in team events as well as supported in my individual sim-racing ventures. An environment that enables me to learn and talk simming with fellow members of this community and journey.
Real Life Motorsport Experience?
Since I was 12, i have been involved with Karting at a couple of local circuits and been quite successful in a number of race events.
Real Life & Sim Racing Achievements:
In real life I have managed to match the karting lap record at Thruxton kart circuit. In sim racing I have beaten Fabian Vettel at his own game in an Audi TT Cup race on Raceroom Racing Experience as well as taken part and won a number of BTCC and GT league races as of late as I get into the competetive side of sim racing again.
