Simrace Community will host the first SRC GT3 Digital World Challenge 24 Hours of Spa in July – on the rFactor 2 platform – with the race on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th, up to 40 teams and 160 participants are expected at the SRC’s annual highlight.
They write: “More than 24 hours of live broadcasting with well-known presenters and guests are guaranteed.”
With the names “Eau Rouge”, “Kemmel”, “Stavelot” or “Blanchimont” motorsport hearts beat faster. If a field of GT3 cars compete twice around the clock, there will be no breathing space.
The Simrace Community will be offering the opportunity to win the GT3 Digital World Challenge’s big 24-h race from July 25-26, 2020. The marathon will be broadcast live on Youtube, Twitch and on the Facebook page LSR-Freun.de without interruption.
More points – more classes – more trophies
For every rider in all classes of the three best-placed teams, trophies are awarded. The premiere in the series celebrates a points system modelled on the Realrace racing series. There will be a rating for Realracer, Pro-Simracer and a silver class – the so-called amateurs and hobby pilots.
The SRC GT3 DWC is a series of 10 events on 10 routes. A mix of long-distance races over 3 hours, 1000 kilometers and 24 hours as well as 60 minutes of sprint races – two each per event.
The field of participants consists of drivers of real motorsport drivers, simracing professionals and talented amateur simracers. At the 24h Spa Francorchamps there will be even four points for the league standings. Thus, even late entrants still have chances for a good championship place.
The previous races offered exciting duels under different weather conditions. The rFactor2 simulation changes according to the real climatic conditions, which additionally provides tension, especially when the peak of the series rises in the Ardennes. Of course, the change from day to night is also simulated.
