The organizers of the ADAC SimRacing Expo had envisioned something different: After the cancellation of the motorsport festival at the Nürburgring in September, the digital replacement program “Super Sim December” was to bring the year to a fitting close.
Now the Corona lockdown is also putting a damper on the digital program.
November 26th, 2020 – The organizers of the ADAC SimRacing Expo are pulling the rip cord. The planned Super Sim December – as a digital replacement for the annual ADAC SimRacing Expo – is cancelled. The comprehensive digital offer of streams, online races and product demonstrations will not take place in December 2020 as planned due to the tightened regulations in connection with COVID-19.
Safety first: Super Sim December cancelled
The organizers from ADAC Mittelrhein and cowana deeply regret the cancellation, but the welfare of all employees and production teams had top priority, according to the managing directors of both companies. The Corona pandemic has also made the search for partners and sponsors particularly difficult, as many companies are currently managing their budget plans rather cautiously.
News, reports and videos – SimRacing Unlimited launched
Nevertheless, the organizers are reporting some good news. The new web portal at www.simracing-unlimited.com has been launched. The cowana agency is responsible for the concept, design, programming and eventual the development of an expert editorial team. One of the best known faces in the editorial team is Kevin Rohrscheidt – content creator and professional racer. On SimRacing Unlimited interested people will find editorial articles, reports and videos about SimRacing – suitable for beginners and professionals.
The organizers constantly publish further information on http://www.simracingexpo.de and the social media channels Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
